Anglicare Southern Queensland is urgently looking for carers in Queensland who are looking to make a difference to children in need.
Where children or young people urgently need a safe place to stay for a short period of time. This may happen when a child first comes into care or while they are waiting to move to a new family.
People who can look after children for a weekend or a few weeks so that their long-term carers can have a break.
Look after children for weeks or months, up to a maximum of two years, while longer term plans are being made.
Are for children who can’t return to live with their families. Carers provide a safe and stable home until they turn 21 years old and start adulthood.
"My case worker at Anglicare has been
so supportive throughout it all. Nothing's too much trouble for them. There is always support there and they are onto any

"We are currently caring for an energetic two-year-old. My partner and I also have our own child, who is four years of age. For me, I understand that providing a child with love and security, even if it is just for a short time, could make such a huge difference in their life."
"Fifteen years ago, my first experience with fostering was unexpected. Our family went from 2 to 6 overnight. This is by far the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done. Seeing the happiness in their faces makes it worthwhile."
"My partner and I care for three young siblings under the age of four. Seeing the girls settled and enjoying life means a lot to me. It can get a little crazy at times, but we wouldn't have it any other way. "
The heritage of Indigenous children is important to us. We assist in keeping foster children connected to culture and community through our Cultural Support Workers.
